Plate Project

For the William St Collective’s Popsicle event in 2008, Love Is My Velocity invited a selection of emerging artists (who double as reliable, hard-working friends and acquaintances) to produce high quality designs for a selection of limited edition melamine dinner plates. The designs range from very personal images drawn from developing and established art practices, to last minute drawings whipped off with a week’s warning. With all profits going directly to the artists, LIMV’s Plate Project is part of a series of initiatives that aim to help artists make a little cash on the side, while exposing their work to broader audiences. An added bonus – the plates will establish their owners as purveyors of interesting dining ware, as well as providing an excellent starting point for dinner time conversations.

Due to popular demand, the plates are sold out and are no longer available for purchase.
