Bamodi - Bamodi

Love is My Velocity's first album is 31 minutes of art-punk noise that goes from straight punk to straight noise to actual hooks to all at the same time over the course of 22 helter skelter tracks. This is Bamodi's first release in their two year life. We asked to put it out because we were pleasantly surprised that somebody was resurrecting 70s New York punk, classing it up (although not too much) and doing it in Perth, of all places. The clincher was the skill level of the bandmembers and their inclination to make noise sound good, rather than fall flat on its unlistenable face. You might not be able to dance to it (which doesn't stop some people trying) but you can certainly rock to it.
